2025 Talent Hunt Competition

It’s time again to watch young talented individuals take the stage! Throughout the years, the Theta Pi Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity’s Talent Hunt program has been a great hit with promoting the Arts. From being featured at the Mondavj Center on the campus of UC Davis to filling up the California Maritime Academy here in Vallejo.

 

This year the Talent Hunt competition will be held at Jesse Bethel High School, 1800 Ascot Parkway, Vallejo, CA 94591l on Saturday, April 12, 2025.
  
Five (5) Performance Categories Contestants may participate in one of the following categories:


• Visual Art: Sketch, Painting, Sculpture, Photography
• Dance Performance: Modern, Contemporary, Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Liturgical
• Dramatic Interpretation
• Instrumental Performance
• Vocal Performance: Singing, Rap, Spoken Word 

The grand prize winner will receive $500 cash. Additionally, the grand prize winner will compete at the 12th District Meeting Talent Hunt Competition in Portland, Oregon the weekend on May 16-17,2025.


Here’s how to apply:

2025 AUDITIONS DATES / INSTRUCTIONS
 

Registration begins: February 18, 2025. Registration Deadline: March 17, 2025. Each contestant is required to submit an audition video 2 - 3 minutes in length demonstrating their talent. Please email audition video or link to Bro. James Nelson, Talent Hunt Chair - kwahcn@yahoo.com.

The overall winner of our talent competition will get an opportunity to showcase their talent in Portland, Oregon, competing against other individuals from ten (10) western states at Omega Psi Phi Fraternity’s 12th District meeting between May 16-17, 2025. Travel and hotel expenses will be paid.

 

Other participants will include local students for example from Vallejo HS, Rodriguez HS, Benicia HS, Will C. Wood HS, Jesse Bethel HS, Vanden HS, Claremont HS and Jesuit HS just to name a few.

The Theta Pi Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Incorporated sponsors this great event. This program provides exposure, encouragement, and financial assistance to talented young people.

Agreement with participation authorizes our organization to use your image in future advertisement.

*NOTE #1: The GRAND PRIZE WINNER, along with winners in each of the five (5) separate categories, MUST be a HIGH SCHOOL student who is at least 14 years of age and enrolled in the 9th through 12 grades.
