This year, due to the constraints of the Covid-19 global health pandemic, the Talent Hunt competition will be live streamed virtually on Sunday, April 10th, 2022. We still expect to have the same energy as before; however, performances and presentations will be pre-recorded live and later streamed over our social media platforms.
Five (5) Performance Categories Contestants may participate in one of the following categories:
• Visual Art: Sketch, Painting, Sculpture, Photography
• Dance Performance: Modern, Contemporary, Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Liturgical
• Dramatic Interpretation
• Instrumental Performance
• Vocal Performance: Singing, Rap, Spoken Word
The grand prize winner will receive a $500 cash prize along with free professional training in their performance category. Additionally, the grand prize winner will compete at the 12th District Talent Hunt Competition in Las Vegas, NV.
Here’s how to apply:
Registration begins: February 3, 2022. Registration Deadline: March 11, 2022. Each contestant is required to submit an audition video 2 - 3 minutes in length demonstrating their talent. Email the video file or YouTube link to the listed contacts alongside an application which can be found below.

The overall winner of our talent competition will get an opportunity to showcase their talent in Las Vegas, NV, competing against other individuals from ten (10) western states at Omega Psi Phi Fraternity’s 12th District meeting between May 12-15, 2022. Travel and hotel expenses will be paid.
Previous winners (see photo below). Other participants will include students from Hogan HS, Rodriguez HS, Benicia HS, Will C. Wood HS, Jesse Bethel HS, Vanden HS, Claremont HS and Jesuit HS.
The Theta Pi Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Incorporated sponsors this great event.This program provides exposure, encouragement, and financial assistance to talented young people.
Agreement with participation authorizes our organization to use your image in future advertisement.
*NOTE #1: The GRAND PRIZE WINNER, along with winners in each of the five (5) separate categories, MUST be a HIGH SCHOOL student who is at least 14 years of age and enrolled in the 9th through 12 grades.
