Omega Gents Youth Mentoring Program was first established in 1982, after a 10 year hiatus beginning 2006, the program was re-established in 2016. Facilitated by the Theta Pi Chapter, an unincorporated association of the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc., the Omega Gents Program is designed to teach and encourage young African-American men to positively define, plan, pursue and achieve their goals.

The gentlemen of Theta Pi have a long history of fostering leadership and academic excellence for African American young men in the Vallejo community. In 1966 The Continentals of Omega Boys Club was founded by Philmore Graham to serve young African American men. In later years, the organization expanded to include service to young women. The

Omega Gents program is an extension of that legacy continuing to provide that service through the cardinal principles of Omega Psi Phi.

The Omega Gents Youth Mentoring Program was established and facilitated by Theta Pi Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity. The Omega Gents Program is designed to teach and encourage young African-American men in middle and high school to positively define, plan, pursue and achieve their goals.

The Program includes several educational workshops and outings, an College Preparatory Academic Enrichment Program, In-state and out of state college campus visits and tours, community service projects, career visibility/development outings, rites of passage and social and recreational outings.Click Here for Fall Events Calendar .
